This hotel has character! This was our first time visiting Bangkok, so I didn't know what to expect from the hotel. It was lovely! Tucked down an alley next to a nice cafe, it's quiet because all of the rooms face into the central courtyard. The bed was huge, and comfortable. The bathroom had the basic necessities, and always enough towels. It's a shower room, so most of the bathroom floor does get wet. Outside the door of the rooms are chairs and old school desks where you can smoke; this was a nice detail. In the middle of the courtyard is a swimming pool. There's a comfy covered lounge area where my husband and I watched a thunderstorm one night. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of Thai options plus cereal and fruit, toast, etc. Location was perfect for us because we wanted to explore Old Town, walked to the Grand Palace and Wat Phra. Took a tuktuk to Khaosan Road/Rambuttri Alley. We also got to Chinatown easily.

I had a deluxe room with king-size bed (can be two single beds), room 209. Good WiFi (login good for one device; I was given two logins on arrival; logins expire in three days, then ask for another). Well-placed electrical outlets in the room. Vanity table can serve as desk, but the current stool needs replacing. Small-ish pool, often full of kids, sometimes noisy (all rooms face the pool in the inner courtyard). Pool officially closes at 8 pm, but some nights it was in use beyond that. Taxi to the airport can be booked at Reception (pre-pay TB600, including freeway tolls). Breakfast 200TB is a buffet, or you can order a vegan bowl of rice with veg. Many families choose this place. Alice Cafe is affiliated.

We came too early, more hours earlier than we could officially take our rooms. The stuff was very kind, without any additional cost, we could occupy one of our rooms (we booked 2 rooms, the other one was still not ready) and we could already enjoy the pool. We liked that we were close to many places that we wanted to visit. The place is central, but still quiet. The breakfast and restaurant-food were good (the variety could be bigger but for 3-4 days it should do, probably one should not eat only in the hotel anyway). The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable.

The pool is a great addition to a hotel with average rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast and the staff was very nice. There is little or no traffic noise as the hotel is in a little ally off the Main Street. Not much food in the area although we found a couple of street food vendors. The wat across the street is beautiful and there’s virtually no one there. A good central budget hotel with a pool is hard to find.

Location was great for sightseeing. situated in a quiet area with cafe attached to hotel. Pool & restaurant outside the door as located on ground floor. Free washing machine was a bonus. Buffet breakfast was ok and restaurant was good for main meal. Room was as per photos. We had the ground floor suite with king bed and 2 singles in one room with a small living area and spacious bathroom.
